The New Year's Concert 2012 live-production.tv, 01/2012

Mariss Jansons has conducted this year‘s New Year’s concert of the Wiener Philharmoniker and Karina Fibich directed the live broadcast which was covered in HD with 17 cameras and in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. ORF production manager Johannes Hoche had hired Imre Sereg, Managing Director of SIVision to overlook and manage the whole technical installations and workflows.

Der Ismaninger Ü-Wagen-Dienstleister SIVision TV Production GmbH hat in der Kathedrale von Durham die aktuelle Weihnachts-DVD von Sting mit Sony HD-Kameras aufgezeichnet. Bei der Jim Gable-Produktion kamen auch grosse Kamerakräne von PMT und Grandma-Lichtsteuerungspulte zum Einsatz.

Munich-based SIVision has the most expansive HD OB truck on show at IBC, with triple expanding sides making it 5.6m wide, giving room for three production desks in the main area, plus vision control, slow-motion and graphics areas, a separate MCR and an audio room.

Ten months after taking over what was at the time a bankrupt company, the new owner, Habegger AG, has been able to stabilise SIVision Broadcast GmbH and help it to return to the market. All of the processes had to be recalibrated in order to achieve a turnaround and create genuine opportunities on the market once again. This included establishing a new managing director in the form of Thomas Kögl.
